About Projects Malta
Projects Malta Ltd was set-up and is fully owned by the Government of Malta to coordinate and facilitate Public Private Partnerships between Ministries and the Private Sector. These ventures serve to improve Malta’s infrastructure, the quality of services being offered to citizens, and also to improve the value for money that a direct partnership with the private sector brings. Our prime goal will be geared towards the country’s growth and competitiveness. Over the coming years Projects Malta will be the catalyst in developing new public/private sector opportunities and to coordinate between Ministries and all stakeholders. Our mission is “To develop and coordinate innovative and sustainable public-private initiatives that will foster improved efficiency and growth for the Maltese Economy”
Dr Konrad Mizzi
Minister for Tourism
Dr. Konrad Mizzi graduated from the University of Nottingham with Distinction in his M.A. studies in strategic management and has also successfully completed his Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Nottingham. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Malta and a Diploma in Finance. He was also awarded a Chevening Scholarship from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Mizzi has led major projects and initiatives in the Energy Sector, both in Malta and in the United Kingdom. He has also led other projects in various other sectors which include the Government, Infrastructure, Telecommunications and the promotion of enterprise.

Ing James Camenzuli – Executive Chairman
James holds an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malta and is a member of a number of professional organisations. His extensive management experience stems from various senior management positions, firstly within the pharmaceutical and automotive industries, and more recently in the public sector. These include Director of Engineering at Actavis and Chief Executive Officer at the Foundation for Medical Services (FMS), where he oversaw significant capital projects across the public health field. He currently serves as Chairman of the Local Regulator for Energy & Water Services (REWS) and as Executive Chairman at Projects Plus Ltd.
Joseph Cuschieri – Deputy Chairman
Joseph Cuschieri is a Certified Public Accountant by profession and a fellow member of the Malta Institute of Accountants of Malta. He is specialised in management accounting, finance & general management and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College, UK.
Alfred Camilleri – Director
Mr. Alfred Camilleri graduated with Honours in Public Administration from the University of Malta in 1983. In 1992, he attained a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Wales. Mr Camilleri joined the Public Service in 1977. He was appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Finance in 2006. He provides knowledge and expertise on issues relating to public administration and finance.
Mario Galea – Director
A graduate in Management from the University of Malta at First degree and Masters level, Mario Galea has been thoroughly involved in industrial development and promotion for long time. Till recently he held the post of Principal Chief Officer at Malta Enterprise. In 2016 Mr Galea was appointed CEO of Malta Industrial Parks.
James Piscopo – Director
James Piscopo is the current Chairman & CEO of Transport Malta, the national authority for the regulation of transport and projects related to transportation infrastructure. He is a Certified Public Accountant by profession. Mr Piscopo served as CEO of the Partit Laburista and formerly an accountant with Air Malta.
Dr Aron Mifsud Bonnici – Secretary to the Board
Dr Aron Mifsud Bonnici is a corporate lawyer with over 16 years’ experience in investment promotion, administrative law, labour relations, privatisation, corporate finance and public relations.
